800 Patients Pre-Booked Before Day One Despite Growing GP Saturation in the GTA
How CloserMed’s partner clinic built a full patient roster for Dr. Melody Lee before she even started working in Scarborough, Greater Toronto Area.
As you can see from the patient line-up in the photos below, our partner clinic MH Medical Group in Scarborough did an outstanding job pre-booking approximately 800 patients for Dr. Lee while she was still in the UK preparing for her move to Canada. And this was achieved despite the growing GP saturation in the GTA area.

Dr. Lee officially started practice on May 5, 2026, and her schedule was fully booked before her arrival through to mid-to-late June.
As a result, after only one month in practice, Dr. Lee had already achieved an average patient flow of approximately 30 patients per day by early June 2026.

We believe this is a great achievement given the existing GP Saturation in the Greater Toronto Area.
While this growth in physician numbers is greatly needed to improve access to care, it can also make it more challenging for newly arriving physicians to build their patient roster in some locations.
